Today we're telling you about the experience during the photo shoot, or "shooting" as we call it in the fashion world, for our new collection.

As you know, we've named it Duality. According to the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE), duality is: "The existence of two distinct characteristics or phenomena in the same person or in the same state of affairs." 

At KIREI we have mixed elements such as gold and steel; but we wanted to go further and the chosen place has been the Hotel & Spa Urso, a 5* hotel where luxury, familiarity and the feeling of being at home, are mixed perfectly.

No matter who you are or where you come from, they make you feel special at all times, and that is a true luxury.

Furthermore, it is one of those hotels that are not only for when we are tourists and need a wonderful room to rest and relax, but for anyone who is strolling through Madrid and wants to enjoy a unique moment, whether in its Casa Felisa restaurant (their creamy rice with beef cheek is spectacular) or with any of the many activities they offer depending on the time of year. For example, right now they have the celebration Thanksgiving Day what they have been organizing for 10 years.

I'm going to tell you a little more about this special place, which welcomed us and gave us all the love, for this day of shooting.

Located between the central neighborhoods of Chamberí, Tribunal, Chueca and Salesas, with a palatial facade built in 1915, the building was originally the headquarters of the old Biscayan company Papelera Española, and still retains the neoclassical elegance with its turrets, chamfers or the classic viewpoints that support the noble balcony and that you can see in our photo session, since it was one of our chosen places.

Its history is also palpable inside , with original elements such as the central courtyard, the colorful stained glass windows, the decorative tiles, the library... in which we were able to photograph our model Alejandra G. Colomer in each of these corners.

I first came to know URSO through my work, but since then I've enjoyed it for pleasure. In fact, I even recommended that one of my best friends hold her wedding, which was going to be a very intimate affair, in its beautiful greenhouse .

It is in this greenhouse where they celebrate their spectacular brunch every weekend, and it is on the list of all of us who like to indulge in these gastronomic treats, although to further enhance the plan, it is best to start the day in their spa with one of their wonderful massages and continue with their brunch.

Now at this time of year, in addition to celebrating Thanksgiving as I mentioned, the Christmas season begins, and that's when I absolutely have to go... It's my Christmas movie 🎄

Evenings in the Lobby are spectacular and perfect for gathering energy for a day of shopping, with a snack of chocolate, with the classic churros of San Ginés or their artisanal pastries or perhaps a little later for a date… waiting for the clock to strike 7:00 p.m., and the soft notes of the live piano fill the room, with a glass of champagne or one of their delicious signature cocktails. 

Also, for the past few years, I've been eagerly awaiting their Christmas flower wreath workshops and beauty workshops with the prestigious brand Natura Bissé. However, you'll need to be quick to sign up, as spaces are limited.

Tell me this plan isn't worthy of the best Christmas movie; all we need is for it to be in Vermont instead of Madrid, and for us to happen upon an old childhood friend 💕
