Gifts from the Heart: Surprise Your Loved Ones with Unforgettable Ideas

Regalos con Corazón: Sorprende a los Tuyos con Ideas Inolvidables

It's that time of year again!! You can love it or feel like a total Grinch, but the reality is that it's time to give gifts.

There are different types of people when it comes to giving gifts.

Obsessive planners :

We're the kind of people who need everything perfectly organized. We search for the perfect gift for every friend or family member, even for Secret Santa or last-minute requests. What's important to us is trying to think of something that would truly delight them and that they wouldn't expect—we want that "WOW, how did you know I wanted this!"

We go crazy planning, making lists... I have a friend who even uses Excel! (Right, Grace?). Basically, we love to surprise people. We also pay attention to every detail, from choosing the gift to how we wrap it (there are some great tutorials online for making perfect gift packages!).

I remember my brother, when we were little, would play tricks on me with the wrapping paper because he knew how much it meant to me. For example, if the gift was small, he'd put it in a shoebox to throw me off... and it worked! Opening a gift is always magical, but for me, seeing the other person's face when they open it is even better.

The practical ones (or Grinches):

Then there are those who see a gift as purely functional. They opt for something useful, like frying pans (which, yes, have their charm, but...). These are usually also the ones who are in a rush because "the last minute is upon them." They don't enjoy looking for gifts, whether in physical stores or browsing the internet, so they end up relying on the ever-reliable gift card.

Before I share a small selection to inspire you, I want to clarify something: some gifts are too personal for this wishlist. For example, you won't find any colognes. In my opinion, perfumes are very personal gifts, and everyone has their own signature scent. If someone gives me something sweet or floral, I expect it to come with a gift receipt. 😉

Gifts to share

Whether with family, a partner, children, or nieces and nephews, time spent together is the greatest gift. The experiences we share are etched in our memories, and that's something that never fades or is lost. 😊

Relaxation and disconnection at The Organic Spa

Couples' experiences have a unique charm, and at The Orgarnic Spa you'll find pure Asian luxury in the finest oriental spa. From personalized massages with oils of your choice to facial and body treatments, this place offers rituals tailored to all tastes and budgets.

I'm a huge fan of their Balinese massage, but I was also surprised to learn they have a massage specifically designed for pregnant women. They also have private spa rooms , perfect for gifting to your partner, mother, or best friend. I'm sure they'll appreciate it, and who knows, maybe they'll even share it with you!

Getaway to Brihuega: Hotel Niwa Spa

Brihuega, famous for its lavender fields, is the perfect place to unwind. There you'll find a charming boutique hotel, the Niwa Spa, where you can relax with a spa circuit and unique massages such as the Honey Indulgence, Lavender Experience, or Chocolate Therapy. They even create a candlelit atmosphere for you to enjoy unforgettable private sessions.

In addition, the artisanal breakfast, prepared with the Cordon Bleu seal of approval, is another of the restaurant's attractions. This romantic treat is ideal for swapping the usual sweater for an unforgettable experience for two.

For adventurers: Arkose Boulder

If you're looking for a unique and active gift, Arkose Boulder is perfect. This 4.5-meter climbing wall requires no ropes and features thick mats for safe landings. It's suitable for adults and children aged 6 and up , making climbing a safe and fun family experience.

In addition, Arkose offers a complete experience with relaxation areas, chill-out areas and a canteen that focuses on sustainable gastronomy with local products.

Sweets and art at Sweet Space

For little ones (and not-so-little ones , myself included ), Sweet Space is a fantastic plan. This interactive experience combines art, fantasy, and sweets in a journey that will make you feel like you're in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Plus, you can taste everything you see! All that's missing are the Oompa-Loompas to complete the magic.

Family traditions: vintage puzzles and classic films

How about putting together a puzzle as a family for the holidays? Cavallini & Co. puzzles are a real treasure: vintage designs that make this gift special and perfect for all ages. Turning this activity into a Christmas tradition is a lovely way to add magic to the season.

Another cultural idea is to give a year's subscription to FlixOlé . Our cinema is art, and their catalog includes films we should all see at least once in our lives.

With the world's largest catalog of Spanish films, it offers remastered classics such as Death of a Cyclist (Juan A. Bardem), Viridiana (Luis Buñuel), and The Executioner (García Berlanga), as well as European and contemporary cinema. This gift will delight our elders and film buffs, connecting them with the best of our cinematic culture.

And now, a more personal gift !

For those of us who appreciate craftsmanship

Laura Breitfeld is an incredible illustrator who transforms silk into true works of art. Her hand-painted scarves, created in limited editions, become collector's items you won't want to miss. If you're not already following her on Instagram, now's the perfect time! Her illustrations for brands and magazines are always a source of inspiration. Personally, last year I received a Christmas basket, and the box it came in surprised me so much with its beauty that I kept it. What a marvel to discover that the print is Laura's work! You can discover more about her work on her Instagram .

And speaking of unique creations, we can't forget Abe The Ape , another illustrator whose magic is undeniable. His lovingly crafted items, made in small workshops, are one-of-a-kind pieces that invite us to make everyday life a more special experience. With limited editions, his original and playful objects are sure to win us over. Personally, I love his plates inspired by Hitchcock's iconic films, but if I had to choose a favorite, I'd definitely go with the ones from Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Mary Poppins ... Even Angela Lansbury has her own! Discover more about his creations on his Instagram .

A book is always a great gift

It should be mandatory to receive a book as a gift, don't you think? From politics to romance or historical fiction, everyone has their favorite genre. Children are especially important; let's not forget how happy we were with the stories from Barco de Vapor (a Spanish television series).

This year I recommend "We Are Violets," a novel by Marta Galisteo that combines thriller, drama, and suspense. It's a critical look at toxic relationships, childhood trauma, and prison dramas. A book that will leave you anything but indifferent!

For those who like to pamper themselves

The perfect gift is Annue Body Elixir , an oil created by Salena Sainz , a pharmacist specializing in dermatology. Made in her laboratory in Ramales de la Victoria (Cantabria), surrounded by nature, this oil combines 19 natural active ingredients in an exclusive formula. It's anti-cellulite, anti-stretch mark, slimming, anti-aging, and also works as an anti-inflammatory, healing agent, and for skin with psoriasis. I use it before bed as a relaxant—it's a must-have in my routine!

For those returning to the gym

If you have a friend whose New Year's resolution is to get back into the gym, what better gift than one that makes her feel comfortable and adorable! Triumph's new Triaction line is ideal. Their sports bras offer extreme support for high-intensity workouts and are made with quick-drying fabrics, perfect for yoga classes, walks, or even just lounging comfortably at home. I'm so in love with them that I'm tempted to get one myself!

For the most organized (or those who try to be)

To start 2025 off right, a planner is always a great gift. Kokonote , a brand from Granada, offers ideal planners along with stationery products like notebooks, calendars, pens, and home items such as mugs, thermoses, and candles. It's the perfect gift to be the most stylish person at the office, university, or even at home!

Supporting businesses affected by the DANA storm

I can't close this list without remembering the businesses in Valencia that have been affected by the DANA storm. Many families have seen their dreams shattered, but we can all help by doing our part. Magazines like Elle have articles about these brands, but here are my recommendations:

Lola Guarch : A super artisanal brand that I love. Although their headquarters in Catarroja was devastated, they are slowly recovering. Their personalized vests and cowboy boots are spectacular, ideal for a special gift.

Arenaa Studio : This interior design and decoration studio in Ribarroja is going through a difficult time. On their website, you'll find beautiful lamps and handmade vases full of color and joy. Gifts with soul!

Kirei's special touch

Finally, don't forget that Kirei pieces are a unique gift. Each jewel is lovingly handcrafted, with attention to every detail to make it truly special. At Kirei, we are committed to limited editions and high-quality materials at ethical prices because we believe every gift should tell a story.

If you'd like something truly personalized for that special someone, don't hesitate to contact us. We'd be delighted to work with you to create something unique.

Also, for those of you in Madrid the weekend before Three Kings Day, we'll see you at the Santa Bárbara Palace! It will be the perfect opportunity to meet in person and help you with those last-minute gifts for Their Majesties the Three Kings.

Merry christmas!
